1972–73 Cupa României
The 1972–73 Cupa României was the 35th edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition.
==Format==
From the first edition, the teams from Divizia A entered in competition in sixteen finals, rule which remained till today.
All matches except the finals (held in Bucharest) were played on neutral ground.
If after 90 minutes the score was equal, then was playing 30 minutes overtime.
If the score was still equal after extra time, the bottom team in the league system will qualify in the next round.
If the both teams were playing in the same league, then a penalty shoot-out was necessary.
If a game was draw after extra time in Round of 32, the visiting team would qualify for the next round.
